Matt Ewer and Beth Blessing, husband and wife, share equal passions for healthy community, nutrition education, sustainable farming, and food networks. After a short stint on the West Coast, they decided to move back home and put their experience to the test by starting their own food delivery business.

Matt Ewer

Owner Matt Ewer is from Marion, Ind., and has a degree in Environmental Management from Indiana University. After graduating in 2000, Matt worked at Stranger’s Hill organic farm in Bloomington, Ind, for two seasons. Enjoying his experience in farming led Matt to Washington State for another learning experience in organics. While in Seattle for four years Matt was the General Manager of Full Circle Farm, which was recently named “one of the most successful small farms in the country” by US news. Matt has experience in buying, growing and selling large volumes of produce and natural products as well as marketing and managing a “growing” company.

Beth Blessing

Owner Beth Blessing is from Noblesville, Ind., and has a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University. After graduating from Bastyr, she worked as a nutrition educator for Washington State University King County Extension’s Food $ense Program. While at Food $ense, she co-authored nutrition education curriculum. Now she is the on-site Nutritionist and a Food Service instructor at The Chef’s Academy, the Indiana Business College’s culinary school. John Freeland

General Manager John Freeland is from Fort Wayne, Ind., and holds a Bachelor of Science in Continuing Studies from Indiana University. John has been a resident of Cincinnati for many years and has experience in community organization, management and logistics. He currently oversees all Green B.E.A.N. Delivery operations in Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton. John enjoys working side-by-side with Ohio River Valley food producers and artisans every day. John also helps Green B.E.A.N. Delivery with systems development, long-term goals and strategies of the company.  He has been a dear friend of both owners for over a decade and was hand selected to run our Ohio operations due to his tireless work ethic and passion for local and unique foods!

Brandon Hamilton

Farm to Kitchen Foods Executive Chef Brandon Hamilton is from Fort Wayne, Ind., and has a degree in Culinary Arts from The Chef’s Academy. Chef Brandon received a presidential scholarship to attend The Chef’s Academy and was valedictorian of the 2008 graduating class. Brandon has been in the kitchen all of his life and has served as the Executive Chef at 14 West, Traders Point Creamery and the Malibu Grill. Brandon’s expertise in the kitchen is matched by his passion for local and healthy foods. His creativity and culinary technique makes for local foods that are out of this world!

Nick Bowton

Warehouse Manager Nick Bowton is from Fort Wayne, Ind., and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Indiana University. Nick relocated from North Carolina to Indianapolis in 2009 and decided to trade the news business for the food business when he was introduced to Green B.E.A.N. Quite familiar with daily deadlines, Nick started as a delivery driver in Indianapolis and shortly thereafter relocated to Cincinnati to join the crew. Nick is a lifelong friend of John Freeland and was hired because of the tremendous organizational skills and dedication he brings with him to work every day.

Allie Brown

Marketing Coordinator Allie Brown is from Fishers, Ind., and holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Dayton.  Allie recently finished school and relocated to Cincinnati, where she has begun to develop Green B.E.A.N.’s marketing strategies while helping to drive our current efforts in the right direction. During her collegiate career, Allie discovered her passion for marketing while working closely with several non-profits and local businesses.  Allie possess professionalism and expertise that are second to none.
